TeamWorks Focus: Habitat Restoration South Bay (Fall 2010)
Join a group of volunteers in service and reflection around a single issue that is facing our community. TeamWorks is a service-learning project that brings together motivated volunteers and environmental organizations to restore habitat.
At five service projects, you'll volunteer to do the hands-on work needed to restore South Bay habitats, learn more about the issues from the people working on the front lines, and get the training you need to lead your own ripple effect of change.
Three South Bay environmental organizations will lead trainings on their focus areas, and volunteers will be involved in active discussion about what is happening to the environment here at home.
No volunteer or environmental experience is required. In order to be considered, volunteers must ...
- be 18 or older.
- be motivated to learn more about the issues and agencies involved in habitat restoration.
- be willing and able to interact as a team.
- be willing to share their thoughts and experiences with their team.
- commit to three- to four-hour morning projects on Aug. 14, Aug. 21, Aug. 28, Sept. 11 and Sept. 18.
- submit an application.
Space is limited, and applications are due Aug. 1. Apply online.
